Another day. A few more songs. Isn't it funny how sometimes the older influences that we keep locked away will surface as if to say "remember me"? After all, isn't who & what we are today a result of who & what we were yesterday? To many times we limit ourselves to a particular genre. It's sad when that happens because we deny ourselves the true artistic expression that lives within us all. It's not a matter of figuring out where we are on the genre ladder and then locking the box. It should be a matter of letting what is inside of us flow where ever it chooses to go. This, my friends, is the true essence of musical expression.

Life changes in the blink of an eye. All we can do is roll with what we don't have the ability to change. I have recently found out how important it is to find the inner peace that lives within us all. When the world outside of us becomes more than we can bear, the inner self is what saves us. We as songwriters are especially fortunate to have an emotional soul that enables us to create. Count your blessings. We are the chosen few.

Thanks everyone for listening to my music. I've been very busy lately running Hobo Joes in Nashville (a songwriters club)so haven't had much time to devote to my music here. DMusic is a wonderful opportunity for independent writers to get their music heard by people that aren't locked into what the world of radio says they should be listening to. If those radio executives would visit this site they may just discover what good music is all about.

Hi evryone! I'm new to this site and still fumbling around a little. It's amazing how much great talent is on here (in all genres). This is rapidly becoming my favorite site for great new independent music.
